The precast hollow core slab machine process is a system for the production of hollow-core slabs, which uses a very dry (zero, slump, water cement ratio 0.30) concrete mixture combined with extreme pressure and vibration.
The combination of shear compaction and zero slump concrete yields a slab of consistent high density and high compressive strength with excellent dimensional accuracy.
The precast extrusion process is very versatile. It is possible to customize the extruder to produce a slab cross-section to meet customer’s specific requirements (8” and 10” thick slab).
The production capacity of this plant is approximately one million (1,000,000) square feet annually using two (2) casting beds five hundred (500) feet in length and four (4) feet in width. The precast hollow-core production equipment includes machinery to efficiently manufacture: 8” thick and 10” thick x 48” wide hollow–core slabs.
